Born and raised in Compton, California,  David is the sixth of eight children.  Financially, times were tough growing up, so he started working when he was twelve years old.  Cleaning houses, washing cars, and mowing lawns, David starting earning an honest living at an early age so that the luxury of formal training could be afforded.  David learned value in his education of the arts at an early age because life's experiences blessed him after his efforts.  He can't express how grateful he is having gone from the cliché hopeless child living in the ghetto to being accepted into the nationally acclaimed Orange County High School of the Arts.  Who knew that attending this academy would change his life forever.

 

As a Southern California Native, David's had a long standing relationship with the Walt Disney Company.  Eight of the twenty years, he had the great pleasure of performing in Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular. He also performed as the King in FROZEN: Live At the Hyperion, a 47 million dollar production, located at the beautiful 2000 seat Hyperion Theater.  Outside of Disney, he's fallen in love with traveling, touring, sailing, singing, and dancing on Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean Line, Holland America Line, and Silja Line.  He's successfully completed fifteen extended contracts at sea ranging from dancer, singer, singer/dancer, production cast, to guest entertainer.  He's lived in Verona, Italy where he learned the language, ate the most incredible food, and performed in such musicals as CATS, AIDA, and Bombay Dreams.  Three great years of his career were spent in Las Vegas doing classic Vegas themed shows to high end, exotic, sexy, and cutting edge shows/special events.  One of his favorite opportunities was singing in Italian at the Venetian in Las Vegas and Macau, China.  David considers himself incredibly blessed to have made friends all over the world while embracing other cultures.  He is full of gratitude knowing that the work done continues to enrich his art and his soul..

 

   David truly enjoys donating his time to charitable causes. He's performed for The Ms. Wheelchair California Foundation and at The Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards benefiting HIV and AIDS.
